Northern Zone Athletics

We had a fantastic day at Northern Zone Athletics held at Newtown Park. Unfortunately the grandstand is still undergoing earthquake strengthening, so was out of action. Fortunately, though, the sun shone all day which made the day enjoyable.

Congratulations to all of those students who competed at Northern Zones. Amaria and I were very proud to be Amesbury School teachers. You represented your school well both on and off the track. It was a long, hot day with some students having to wait around for events. Throughout the day your behaviour, attitude and effort were exemplary. Well done to you all.

Further congratulations to those students who finished in the top three at Northern Zones and will now be moving on to Interzones. The Interzone Athletics day will be held next Tuesday, 25 November. All the best to the 8 children who will be competing.
