COMMUNITY NOTICES
  • ** Calling all New World Churton Park Shoppers! ** - Do you regularly shop at Churton Park New World?  Researchers from the University of Otago are looking for volunteers for a study into how shoppers decide which foods to buy.  As thanks, all people who take part will get store vouchers worth up to $90. Dr Ninya Maubach is leading a study using mobile eye-tracking technology that records where people look, and needs up to 50 volunteers to wear these glasses while going about a routine supermarket trip.  Participants will also be asked to take part in two interviews, either side of the shopping trip and separated by a few weeks.  If you’d like to know more, click this link to read a full information sheet: https://otago.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_eWq1MAQ9Gs8mhj7. If interested in taking part, you can then complete a short survey to express your interest.
  • ** Craft Angels Needed! ** - If you’re crafty and you have a little extra time on your hands, the wonderful team at Little Sprouts are looking for crafters to help make handmade projects (knitting, sewing, crochet etc) to include in the life changing packs that they send out to needy newborns and their families. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of some of our most vulnerable citizens and I’m proud to say CPCC’s own Creative Expressions group will be contributing hand knitted items! Join up at https://www.facebook.com/groups/LittleSproutsCraftAngels/ for access to fabric and patterns. Spread the word to your crafty friends!
